Forbes Services Memorial Club helps Community Groups prosper in 2019
$76,834.00 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
GIFTED TO FORBES COMMUNITY GROUPS
A total of thirty one (31) community groups have shared in receiving financial assistance from Forbes Services Memorial Club in 2019 totalling in excess of $76,000.00. This financial assistance will assist in running of their respective organisations and to help them prosper.
The latest chunk of funding totalling $42,000 was recently presented to the recipients at a cheque presentation ceremony.
In addition to this financial assistance, the Club has also supported numerous community groups with sponsorships and In-Kind donations, including free room hire for not-for-profit community group meetings. We estimate these sponsorships and InKind donations to be in the tens of thousands.
Financial Assistance Recipients for 2019 are: Lachlan Legacy, Forbes Torchbearers for Legacy, Can Assist Forbes, Forbes Pre School, Forbes RSL Sub Branch, Forbes Arts Society, Beyond Blue, Forbes Business Chamber, Lifeline Central West, Youth Off The Streets, Grazing Down The Lachlan, Forbes Rugby League Club, Forbes Rugby Union Club, Bedgerabong Picnic, Forbes Golf Association, Lachlan Valley Community Radio, Red Bend Junior League, NSW Small Winemakers Wine Show, Forbes Camel Races, Forbes Rodeo, Forbes Jockey Club and Forbes Diggers Harness Racing Club, Forbes Sorting & Penning Club, Forbes Prostate Cancer Support Group, Forbes Community Men’s Shed, Forbes Historical Society, Rotary Club of Forbes Ipomoea, Forbes CWA Evening Branch and Forbes View Club.
President of Forbes Services Memorial Club Wayne Richards said, “We think this financial support is not just a gift to the recipients, but also to the whole community”. Mr. Richards went onto say “all financial assistance is aimed at helping as many local community groups as possible”.
